Please read these terms carefully before using our services

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the transportation services provided by Black Car Service New York ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Description

We provide professional ground transportation services including:

  • Airport transfers and pickups
  • Point-to-point transportation
  • Hourly charter services
  • Chauffeur services
  • Limousine services for special events
  • Group transportation via Sprinter vans

All services are subject to vehicle and chauffeur availability.

2. Reservations and Booking

2.1 Booking Confirmation

Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of booking confirmation via email. You are responsible for verifying that all reservation details (date, time, locations, vehicle type) are correct.

2.2 Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking unless you have an approved corporate account. We accept major credit cards. All prices are quoted in US dollars and include standard gratuity unless otherwise specified.

2.3 Pricing

Quoted prices include the base fare, tolls, parking fees, and gratuity as specified in your confirmation. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Excessive wait time beyond included allowances
  • Additional stops not included in original booking
  • Extended time beyond hourly booking duration
  • Cleaning fees for vehicle damage or excessive mess
  • After-hours service (between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM)

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Standard Cancellations

  • More than 24 hours before pickup: Full refund
  • 12-24 hours before pickup: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 12 hours before pickup: Full charge applies
  • No-show: Full charge applies

3.2 Special Events and Holidays

For special events (weddings, proms, etc.) and major holidays, cancellation must be made at least 7 days in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are subject to full charge.

3.3 Modifications

Booking modifications are subject to availability and may result in price adjustments.

4. Airport Transfers

4.1 Flight Tracking

We monitor flight arrivals and adjust pickup times for delays. You are not charged for flight delays.

4.2 Wait Time

Complimentary wait time is included:

  • Domestic flights: 30 minutes from actual landing time
  • International flights: 60 minutes from actual landing time

Additional wait time is charged at $1 per minute for sedans and SUVs, $2 per minute for Sprinter vans.

4.3 Meet and Greet

Your chauffeur will wait in the arrivals area with a name sign. Contact information will be provided before your arrival.

5. Passenger Responsibilities

5.1 Conduct

Passengers must behave in a safe and respectful manner. We reserve the right to terminate service immediately for:

  • Threatening or abusive behavior toward the chauffeur
  • Illegal activity
  • Intoxication that poses a safety risk
  • Damage to the vehicle

No refund is provided if service is terminated due to passenger conduct.

5.2 Vehicle Care

Passengers are responsible for any damage to vehicles beyond normal wear and tear. Cleaning fees of up to $500 may apply for excessive mess, spills, or odors (including smoking).

5.3 Prohibited Items

Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is prohibited in all vehicles. Open containers of alcohol are subject to local laws.

6. Child Safety Seats

Child safety seats are available upon request at no additional charge. Please specify the number and ages of children when booking. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure proper installation and use.

7. Luggage

Standard luggage allowances:

  • Sedan: 3 standard suitcases
  • SUV: 6 standard suitcases
  • Sprinter Van: 14+ standard suitcases

For excessive luggage, please inform us when booking so we can assign an appropriate vehicle.

8. Liability

8.1 Service Delays

While we make every effort to provide timely service, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or circumstances beyond our control.

8.2 Personal Property

We are not responsible for items left in vehicles. Reasonable efforts will be made to return lost items, but we cannot guarantee recovery.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fare paid for that trip.

9. Privacy

Your use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in NY.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
